Plot: Sleepless in Seattle starts in Chicago at a funeral of the late wife and mother of Sam and Jonah Baldwin. Listening to Sam’s story, Annie Reed, a writer for a Baltimore newspaper (played by Meg Ryan), becomes curious about the man of the voice she hears over the radio. Shortly after, letters start flooding in from women all over the United States with interests in dating Sam Baldwin leading Sam and Jonah on a trip of fate to the Empire State Building in New York where they find the woman he’s been searching for waiting for them at the top. Worried about his father, Jonah contacts a radio talk show in hopes of finding another woman for Sam.
